Pickleball August/September in Dalhousie
Play with a Coach – SATURDAYS with Instructor, Stephen Hansen) – NEW
This is not a formal lesson, but an opportunity for players to play games with a coach, who will provide tips, feedback, and strategy suggestions throughout the session.
- Maximum participants: 7 players
- Price: $25 per player for a 2-hour session
- Saturdays: August 8, 15, 22
- Saturdays: September 19, 26 (no class on September 12 due to Show & Shine)
Ball Machine Skills & Drills – SUNDAYS with Instructor, Bill Lane) – NEW
These sessions focus on skill development using the ball machine. A group of four players over two hours allows everyone to complete each drill multiple times and receive individual feedback.
- Maximum participants: 4 players
- Price: $35 per player for a 2-hour session
- Sundays: August 9, 16, 23
- Sundays: September 13, 20, 27
Intro/Beginner Instructor
Stephen Hansen holds both Level 1 and Level 2 certifications from the International Pickleball Teaching Professional Association (IPTPA) and is also certified as an Instructor 1 through the National Coaching Certification Program (NCCP).
Intermediate Instructor
Bill Lane is a Certified IPTPA Level 2 instructor, NCCP-certified coach, and accredited PC referee. He was named Pickleball Alberta’s Coach of the Year in 2024 and has introduced over 800 new players to pickleball through more than 75 Intro sessions.
You may have wondered who are all the pickleball players you see on the Dalhousie courts all the time? That is usually members of the Calgary Pickleball Club.
*Please note, the tennis and pickleball courts beside our parking lot belong to the City of Calgary and are to be booked through the City of Calgary website. The DCA does not administer any tennis or pickleball court bookings except for our lessons/programs.
